An All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant in Bauchi State, Alhaji Sani Al'ameen Muhammad, has advised governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State to do more in the areas that there are existing challenges and consolidate on his achievements for the wellbeing of Bauchi citizens.
Al'ameen gave the advice on Friday, May 26, 2023, ahead of the swearing-in of Governor Bala Mohammed for a second term on Monday next week. He said the Governor has done a lot for the state by opening up the entire Bauchi state. He also said that the governor need to do more in the areas of Education, Health Care and Civil Service.
He expressed gratitude to the people of Bauchi for electing the governor for a second term as an action taken in the best interest of Bauchi State,
Al'ameen said the administration of Bala Mohammed had laid “the right foundations to build a Stronger and more prosperous Bauchi state. Now that Governor Bala received his second mandate, it is for consolidation and growth; for investment and economic reform, and he should also focus on education, Health Care and making the youth, elders and all the people of the state the centerpiece of his government policies and programmes”.
He also stated that Governor Bala Mohammed should use his wisdom to recruit more medical doctors and health personnel in the areas of nose, ear, dentist, gynecologist doctors and other areas that required medical personnel.
"He should also clear the issue of backlog of pensions, and solve the little issue of paying workers salaries, gratuities, wages, leave grant and promotions.
"The Governor should also pay special attention to education sub-sector. He should review the government policies in education for the development of the state, and he should declare war against desert encroachment, by encouraging Bauchi citizens to plant trees and stop felling of trees. Even if he will sponsor a bye law to be enacted by the State House of Assembly, l don't mind.The Governor should do this because I know his goal remains to make life richer, better, and more fulfilling for all citizens of the State.
“He should continue setting the priorities of the government, communicating the goals and outcomes of policies and programmes, and pursuing them with relentless zeal to provide good governance to our people,”
Al'ameen commended the governor for tolerating his opponents and for his robust campaign and hard-fought electoral battle. He equally praised the governor in the way he extended olive branch to his opponents to come forward with whatever ideas and advice they may have in helping to move Bauchi forward. And that since the election period is over, they should join hands and move Bauchi State forward.
He advised the governor to be wary of praise singers and self centered people who always want to achieve what they want instead of focusing on the well being of the state.
On the reason why he supported the governor despite the fact that he is in the opposition party, Al'ameen said he supported the governor because of the interest he has in Bauchi State. He stated that the Governor is doing everything to move the state forward. "infact, he has changed the narratives in Bauchi State", he stated. NNL.
