Barely 24 hours after the reported ambush of Borno governor, Professor Babagana Zulum's convoy by the Boko Haram terrorists in Baga town on Wednesday evening, the military authorities in Abuja said on Thursday, that it has begun investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack in which 15 people were reportedly injured.

Borno State governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, has expressed his anger and displeasure with the military command in Baga, Borno state, over what he described as their inability to repel Boko Haram terrorists operating in the area, one year after the army authorities at the Defence Headquarters established the military base.
A Bauchi Coalition Against Financial Crimes and Injustice (BACAFCI), has filed three fresh petitions against the former APC Governor of Bauchi State, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, before the Independent Corrupt Practices (ICPC), and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), over alleged fraud, financial misappropriation and abuse of office by Abubakar.
